The Apostle Paul, who travelled widely and was aware of the material needs of the saints
in Jerusalem, invited the believers in the thriving city of Corinth to share with those in need. Appealing not to cold duty but to warm-hearted generosity, Paul laid the foundation for Christian stewardship. Now as then, we are called by God to offer our gifts in joyful generosity.
