Lenten Study
The Savior Speaks:

Jesus’ Seven Sayings from the Cross

March 9 – April 13, Sundays 9:00 – 9:45 AM
No registration needed

Our Sunday AM Lent class features renowned New Testament scholars offering brief reflections on Jesus’ last words spoken from the cross. Each session will feature time for meditation on Jesus’ words and personal written reflections.

Maundy Thursday

Our Maundy Thursday service will be at 7pm in the sanctuary and will feature the Lord’s Supper.  We remember the last evening Jesus shared with his disciples in the upper room before his arrest and crucifixion.  It marks three key events in Jesus’ last week: his washing of his disciples’ feet, his new commandment to love one another, and his institution of the Lord’s Supper.   The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin phrase for “new commandment,” mandatum novum.

Good Friday Service

Good Friday is the day for Christians to commemorate Jesus's crucifixion. On this day, according to the Bible, the Jewish religious leaders—who had condemned Jesus the night before for claiming to be the son of God and king of the Jews— brought him to the Romans for sentencing. On Good Friday, we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10).
